In the big metropolis city, Seiya recently opened a gym, specializing in boxing and martial arts as well as training people in a variety of sports. With the help of his friends and a hefty loan from the bank, he opened the gym and become widely known as a personal trainer and teacher in the neighborhood.

Every evening, when Seiya closed down the gym, he walked home, which is closed by his work place, he passed by the local pet shop that recently opened. At first, he doesn't have an opinion on the pet people, but he heard people adopts them to be pets and companions. The pet shop sell a variety of pets ranging from dogs, cats, reptiles, and birds.

One day they have a special pet for sale advertised on the window. A special breed of Heron that can sing. The one on sale in particular is blonde with long hair and sparkling emerald eyes, certainly almost regal like a princess.

At first, Seiya didn't get the idea to adopt her, being a bachelor who lives alone at home. He sometimes walked by the window, waving hello to her, but he didn't bought her due to the hefty price tag and that the storekeeper tried to get her adopt by a family with children instead, so Seiya was discouraged at first.

At the end of the week, when nobody is able to adopt her, and her brothers and sisters were adopted already, he changed his mind. He couldn't get her out of his mind and with much bargaining, the storekeeper reluctantly let him adopt her.

For the next few months, he did everything he could to make her happy and comfortable. While she came with a cage, like the other birds, he never kept her in one, and let her roam free in his house and in his garden, which he didn't have time to tend for. Everything she wanted, he learn what she likes and dislikes and given her sweets, dresses, even a radio, and her own room, allowing her to decorate it.

Spring is around the corner, and after he closed the gym, he walked home and Seiya stopped by the local store to bring her seeds, which is a mix of fruits and vegetables for her to learn to grow in the garden. The door to the house opens.

"Leanne? I home. Where are you?"

She will have to find someway to bring in money so that Seiya wouldn't have to overwork himself. She was going to be a good wife and help provide for their family. But she isn't sure what a pet can do in terms of work? Especially one who is known to be fragile.

The months passed by swiftly as the fruits of her mating season is starting to show. Her belly growing day by day and despite having quite the healthy sex life in the beginning, she was soon feeling too tired to move beyond greeting him as Seiya came home from work.

She usually spent the day sleeping in one of the nests, resting and conserving energy for whenever the big moment arrives. Though she tries to be a loving wife whenever he is in the mood or gives any indication he was in the mood.

Leanne was overjoyed at the thought that her first child is a boy and she couldn't help but to beam with pride that she was going to give Seiya a son.

As the day grew nearer and nearer, the more she slept and ate. By now, she couldn't wait for the child to be born. Everywhere was hurting and she was feeling miserable. Despite her misery, she was beaming with excitement at becoming a mom. Her favorite thing to do was watching Seiya inspect the toys and clothing and just being his goofy excited self.

Her eyes were half closing as she has been feeling sharp pains throughout the day, getting ready to sleep again when Seiya approached her with the idea to pack. "Darling.... I just got comfortable again." She whines before a whimper of pain goes through her. This time though, the pain felt a bit overwhelming and she let out a loud cry of pain. "Darling....." This time it was a pained whine and then instincts were making her shift her position to make herself more comfortable as well as easier to start pushing.

Seiya went over to give her a cuddle and a comforting hug, to help comfort the painful contractions. "Shhh, it's going to be right. Looks like it'll be due any day now." Placing a hand on her belly to rub it gently. "Looks like our child is ready to come out."

Though by the looks of her position, it then dumbstruck him that perhaps she is ready to give labor. He realized what he just said, it's happening like right now. "Or is it ready now? Really? It is time?" He ask her, truly panicking.

Her eyes half close as he moves in to cuddle and give her a comforting hug. This day has been hell for her due to all the painful contractions so she will take any small comfort she can get from her mate. But... This is one of the times he is being completely dumb right now.

Leanne goes to start panting as everything in her was telling her it is time. She shifts a little bit more to make herself more comfortable. "Darling!!!" She cries out again in pain. "He is coming, Darling!"

If the labor pains started since this morning, then the baby will be coming out in a few hours. Fortunately, he had this planned out, or at least he thinks it will work. So in a rush, he packs up her things in a bag and then carries her off in his car to drive her to the hospital.

The hospital is not so far away, just a few minutes drive from his house, so by the time they arrived there, the hospital staff placed her in one of the rooms and on a large comfy bed, have her dressed in a hospital gown. With Seiya stayed by her side, where she can scream at him and the doctor and mid-wife nurse while undergoing the pain of labor to push that baby out!

"Hey, honey, it's going to be all okay, it's going to be all right. All you have to do is push." Seiya said as she's holding her hand, encouraging her to push, with the doctor and the midwife nurse saying the same. Take a deep breath and push.

She was crying due to the pain and she digs her nails into Seiya as he was carrying her. Everything was hurting and she just wanted the pain to go away.

The drive felt like it was forever and then when they arrived at the hospital and the staff got her ready. It was then that the pains increased to the point that all she could do was scream incorhertantly.

Tears were falling freely from her eyes as she screams from the pain. She couldn't think from the pain and instinct took over, pushing as much as she could when everything in her told her it was time to push.

What felt like an eternity of pain and suffering, sweat was completely covering her and Leanne was completely red from all the work. But in the end, after one very long and hard push, the room was filled with the sounds of a baby's cry.

Down the years, he's going to tell stories to their children how their mother gave him scratch scars that he will proudly wear on his skin for all time, all about the heroic delivery that their father did to ensure to bring them into the world.

He managed to capture most of the delivery on video and record it as a memory to remember for all time. When the baby was delivered, the nurse picked up such a small one, wrapped the little babe in a warm blanket and let Leanne hold her child for the first time. The birth was a mess, but the nurse and midwife cleaned up the rest. What a joy! Seiya dreamed of having his family and at last, the result of their loving union has made it to the world and Seiya is so overjoyed and proud.

"It's a boy!" The nurse announced and while it's one...one nestling, it's a strong one with a strong cry and strong hands. The babe cried and cried, taking his first breath, but once settled in the mother's arms, he becomes quiet and settled down calmly. A son... his first child is a son, and he already knew what's the boy name will be, the name was on his mind for months.

When the nurse asked him what his name will be to put on the birth certificate...Seiya only smiled and answered, "It's a name that I thought of in my mind for a very long time. His name will be Ikki." He said. He never told Leanne story about his half-brother, though there's a picture of him with Shun, Hyoga, and Shiryu in the living room when they were children. Up until now, he and Shun have no idea if he's alive or dead and they haven't heard from him since they left the orphanage and they spent years looking for him.

For now, he named his first son Ikki because he carried on this hope, the hope that someday he and Shun will find their long-lost brother who disappeared in the islands known for their active volcanoes, and if he's alive, there's that hope that Ikki will meet his first son and know he's an uncle, and that even long after these years, Seiya honored him by naming his first born son after him.

Turning to his tired mate, exhausted from giving labor, he kissed his child on the forehead and on Leanne's forehead. "Thank you...and well done. You did well. Rest now, and we shall go home in a few days."
